William "B.J." Joseph Hunt

William "B.J." Hunt, 38, of Thurman, Ohio passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. Born October 13, 1986, he was the son of Dennis and Pam Hunt.

B.J., as he was known to friends and family, was a lifelong lover of deer hunting and being in the woods with his family chasing the big bucks. He enjoyed working on his old car, yet his favorite past time was time spent with his family. He always had something to say to put a smile on your face and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

B.J. is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Linda Hunt, whom he shared over twenty years of his life with; children, whom he loved dearly include Casper (Britani) Saunders, Ronny (Sydney) Evans, Raleigh (Alyssa) Evans and Nichole (Robert) Bailey; grandchildren whom he cherished: Beau Saunders; D'Andre, Robert, Arianna, Brittany and Karmen Bailey; Rosalee, Bentlee, Ronny Jr. and Jaxon Evans; Hailey, Kendall and Riley Evans. Also surviving are brothers: Michael Hunt and J.R. (Tiffany) Hunt; sister, Donna (Matthew) Milliron; nieces and nephews: Chelsey Hunt, Michaela (Jonas) McCreedy, Braxton Hunt, Brentley Hunt, David Williams, Mason Burk, Christopher (Adrianna) Harmon and Elijah Harmon; great-niece and great-nephews, Danielle, Weston and Everett; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tony and Heather Harmon; mother-in-law, Hazel Cardwell.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Bill and Ruth Oiler.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation services are under the direction of The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM in OO McIntyre Park, Ruffed Grouse Shelter, where his hunting stories and how he touched our lives can be shared.

"When I leave this world and enter the pearly gates, Lord, and come into your glory, instead of the mansion you promised, how about just an ole tree stand?"
