William James Moore

William James Moore, 92, Findlay, passed away Monday June 12, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Mason County, West Virginia to the late Willie Curtis and Helen (Wood) Moore. In 1937, he married Helen Page; he later married Violet Fitzpatrick and she preceded him in death. He retired after thirty-seven years as foreman at the San-A-Pure Dairy.

Survivors include four daughters, Jean Anne Wright, Carol (Jerry) Mallett, Barbara (Richard) Deerhake, all of Findlay; Kay (Thomas) McGann, Charleston, South Carolina; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence, Paris, Tennessee and sister, Beatrice (Richard) Dunlop, Westerville, Ohio.

Also preceding him in death are one grandson; sister, Mrs. Vaughn (Thena) Glassburn; three brothers, Floyd, Otho and Eugene Moore.

Visitation will Wednesday June 14, 2006 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. On Thursday, visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Gallipolis, Ohio where the funeral will be held on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Tim Luoma officiating. Burial will follow in Addison Cemetery in Gallipolis.

The purpose of the fund is to support Mr. Moore's interest in helping youth and is designated to support recreational activities for youth in Hancock County, particularly hunting and fishing.
