Willis Norman, 64, Vinton, passed away Tuesday July 31, 2007 at Holzer Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born May 14, 1943 in Pike County, Kentucky, son of the late Andrew and Mexico Prater Norman.

He is survived by his wife, Avonell Smith Norman and children: Lucille (Dale)Cox, Jackson; Willard "Junior" (Beverly) Norman, McDermitt and Keith Norman, Kentucky; granddaughter, Chelsea Dawn Harrison, Jackson; brothers, James Norman, Alabama and Dale Norman, Gallipolis; sister, Phyllis Dotson, Mount Sterling, Kentucky and a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Garland and Ezell Ward, Vinton.

In addition to his parents, Willis was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Frank and Naomi Norman.

He was a member of the Deercreek Freewill Baptist Church at Vinton.

Services will be 11:00 AM Friday August 3, 2007 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Mickey Maynard and Pastor Jake Fry officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 PM.
