Wilma Perry Rees, 80, Rio Grande, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Holzer Senior Care Center, Bidwell. She was born March 20, 1936 in Barboursville, West Virginia, daughter of the late Garland and Mary Elizabeth Kelley Perry. She had served on the City Council of Rio Grande, operated Wilma's Ceramic Shop in Rio Grande, and retired from Case Driveway Incorporated, Huntington, West Virginia after 25 years of employment.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Rees on July 12, 1974 and her maternal grandparents, Ben F. And Dora Hash Kelley, in whose home she enjoyed many years.
She is survived by two stepchildren: Richard Rees, Shelbyville, Tennessee and Janet Hawk, Columbus, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Betty Rees; special cousins: Easter Miller, Ralph Kelly, Marilyn Coleman, and Ray Edwards; special thanks to care giver, Brenda Caldwell and the girls at Holzer Senior Care Center.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday February 7, 2007 at Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock, West Virginia with burial to follow. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM.
