Woodrow Mollohan, 91, Vinton, Ohio passed away Wednesday December 17, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on December 17, 1917 in Stinson, Westy Virginia, son of the late Martin and Zona Carpenter Mollohan. He was a retired Teamsters Worker and a former Pastor of and attended the Morgan Center Christian Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-nine years, Marie Mollohan February 27, 2000 and by four sisters: Alsie Russell, Becky Carter, Macel Adkins and Ethel Rife.
He is survived by five children: Margaret George, Vinton, Ohio; Jack (Rosann) Mollohan, Gobles, Michigan; Joyce (Victor) Miller, Kalamazoo, Michigan; Wanda (Mike) Thompson, Pomeroy, Ohio and Joann (Jim) Dobbins, Vinton, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two-great-grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters: Dewey (Betty) Mollohan, Comstock, Michigan; Darrell "Buck" (Betty) Mollohan, Bickmore, West Virginia; Martha Rife, Jackson, Ohio; Clovie "Pet" (Paul) Brown, Vinton, Ohio; Opal Hardesty, Richmondale, Ohio and Reva (Wendell) Brown, Vinton, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2008 in the Morgan Center Christian Holiness Church with Rev. Bob Hersman and Rev. Mike Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton on Sunday 3:00-5:00 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.
