Bobby Lane Carpenter

Bobby Lane Carpenter, 31, Langsville, Ohio passed away in Valdosta, Georgia Wednesday, September 9, 2020. He was born August 9, 1989 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of Randall Rae Carpenter Jr., Middleport, Ohio and Katrina Ashburn McGhee, Langsville, Ohio.

In addition to his parents he is survived his step-father, Michael McGhee, Langsville, Ohio; four brothers and one sister: A.J. McCollum and Dustin McGhee, both of Bidwell, Ohio; Seth Carpenter, Patriot, Ohio; Tyler Carpenter, Gallipolis, Ohio and Jessie McGhee,  Vinton, Ohio. Also surviving are grandparents: Randall (Peggy) Carpenter Sr., Middleport, Ohio; Mike (Sybil) McGhee, Oak Hill, Ohio and Danny Will,  Middleport, Ohio; nephews, Wesson West, Knox Carpenter and niece, Aria Brawley as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bobby was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Larry and Betty Ashburn; paternal grandmother, Linda Stafford Will and uncles, Larry Ashburn and Terry Ashburn.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Will Gillem officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Thursday 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and CDC Regulations, social distancing guidelines will be observed and facial coverings are required.
