Carolyn (Gilbert) Spurlock

Carolyn Spurlock, 71, Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 in The Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Born May 9, 1948 to the late William Garfield and Pearl (Thomas) Gilbert at Murphy, Virginia, she married Charles Spurlock, Sr. who preceded her in death.

To this union were born Carolyn Robson, Charles Spurlock, Jr. and Crystal (Scott) Brown, all of Oak Hill, Ohio; grandchildren: Brittney, Ethan, Madisyn, Trinity, Reegan, Linkin, Jacob, Emily, Garbrielle, Breanna, Melissa and Paisley and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Hershel Gilbert, Brady (Ellen) Gilbert and Keith Gilbert special daughter, Lisa Baker.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Charlene Spurlock; siblings: Ann Vicaro, Brenda McCombs, Barbara Terry, Roy Gilbert, Homer Gilbert, Gleason Gilbert, David Gilbert, Milford Gilbert and Lannis Gilbert.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Donna Wedemeyer and Vicky Moore officiates. Burial will follow in the Centerpoint Cemetery, Thurman, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Wednesday 11:00 AM to the service time of Noon.
