Charles Ted Glassburn

Charles Ted Glassburn, 84, Vinton, Ohio passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born February 25, 1936 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Stanley and Gladys (nee Lane) Glassburn. He married Barbara (nee Blankenship) Glassburn August 2, 1982 in Harrisburg, Virginia and she survives. Charles was a member of Garden of My Heart Holy Tabernacle Church, Bidwell, Ohio serving as senior pastor in the ministry for more than fifty-five years.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Barbara; their daughters, Brenda (Johnnie) Wallace, Apple Grove, West Virginia; Debra Lynn Wolford, Gallipolis, Ohio; Gina (Brian) Harris, Bidwell, Ohio; Terri (Zane) Colley, Bidwell, Ohio and Cindy Louise Wolford, Vinton, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Marty (Rhonda) Glassburn, Jackson, Ohio and sisters, Lola (Fred) Martin and Jeanie (Bill) Tullis, both of Urbana, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by daughters, Debra Sims and Teresa Glassburn; brothers, Roger Glassburn, Donald Glassburn and Earl Glassburn; sisters, Jenny Bowman, Mary Smith and Elizbeth Messick.

Funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Monday, February 8, 2021 at Garden of My Heart Tabernacle Church, Bidwell, Ohio with Pastor Zane Colley officiating. Burial will follow at Vinton Memorial Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the church Monday from 10:00 AM to the time of service.
