Christopher Scott Oiler, 23, Langsville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 26, 2018. Christopher is the beloved son of Brian “Scott” and Linda Oiler and Big Bubby to Madison Oiler. He is reunited in paradise with Uncle, Jerrad Oiler and grandparents, Winston and Carol Trent. Christopher is loved by many including grandparents Bill and Melanie Oiler and Carol Jean Oiler; his aunts and uncles: Bradley and Jodie Trent; Norma and Chris Ellcessor; Dustin and Jessica Butcher; Adam and Richie Eblin and Anita and Jerel Collins - He was their “precious little prince”; cousins: Tyler and Tori Trent; Lindsey Polsley; Katie and Jaden Bradley and Brody and Brice Butcher. Christopher also leaves behind a life-long friend and "brother from another mother", Anthony Forgey and the love of his young life, Savannah Wheeler along with their two spoiled dogs, Apollo and Friday.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Vinton Baptist Church, Vinton, Ohio with Pastor Heath Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Oiler Family Cemetery, 2205 Keystone Road, Vinton Ohio. Family and friends may call Friday, August 31 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vinton Baptist Church.
Pall bearers for Christopher will be: Jerel Collins, Richie Eblin, Adam Eblin, Anthony Forgey, Travis Polcyn and Luke Pullins. Honorary pall bearers are Kody Mershon and Niles Elliott.
In the words of his favorite artist, Brian Wilson, “I think I need the demons in order to write, but the demons have gone. It bothers me a lot. I’ve tried and tried but I just can’t seem to find a melody.”
