Donald Lee Isreal, 86, Vinton, Ohio passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 in Holzer Medical Center, Jackson, Ohio. Don was the son of the late Earnest and Mildred (Stockwell) Israel, born January 7, 1935 in San Bernadino, California. A United States Air Force Veteran, he served March 1953 to March 1973, obtaining the rank of Master Sergeant.
He married Caroline Ruth Whitmore March 1, 1958 in Springfield, Tennessee, and she preceded him in death June 7, 1988. Don was a member of Rodney Pike Church of God, Rodney, Ohio and retired owner of Colony Video, Bidwell, Ohio.
Don married Sarah E. Marcum October, 1994, and she survives. He is survived by his daughters, Debra (Leonard) Allen, New Carlisle, Ohio and Dianne Wheeler, Gallipolis, Ohio; stepchildren: Rhonda (Donald) Fouts, Grove City, Ohio; Marrel Dixon, Vinton, Ohio and James (Tina) Dixon, Vinton, Ohio; nineteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by stepsons, Larry Angles and Danny Angles and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, August 30, 2021 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating. Full Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Vinton American Legion #161. Burial will follow in Pendleton-Marcum Cemetery, Vinton. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday, 11:00 AM to the hour of service.
