Doris E. (Faulkner) Evans

Doris E. Evans, 89 of Patriot, Ohio passed away Friday July 8, 2022 at her residence. She was born June 4, 1933 in Gallia, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Lula (Mossbarger) Faulkner. She was a loving mother and homemaker. Doris was a member of Gallia Baptist Church of Patriot, Ohio. She was a former volunteer for the Jackson County RSVP Program and former member of Oak Hill Senior Citizens Club. 

Doris is survived by her children, Diana Evans, Patriot, Ohio; Robert (Marcia) Evans, Kokomo, Indiana and Ronald Evans, Columbus, Ohio; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and son-in-law, Homer Samsal, Pataskala, Ohio. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Evans, April 3, 1990; daughter, Wanda Samsal; sons, Jerry Evans, Derryl Evans and infant son David Evans; brother, Robert Faulkner and sister, Lucille Mosier.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in the Gallia Baptist Church with Pastor Cline Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow in Gallia Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Tuesday 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, is honored to serve the Evans Family.
