Emma Mae (Berry) Morris

Emma Mae Berry Morris, 80, Vinton, Ohio departed this life October 21, 2016.  Born June 28, 1936 in Harmony, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Howard Paul and Gertrude Lucille Berry. She was raised in Springfield, Ohio, came to Gallia County and later married Ervin Lee Morris May 24, 1954, who preceded her in death January 26, 1980.  Emma had worked at several locations over the years including "The Jumbo" in Rio Grande, Value City Furniture in Springfield, Ohio and Main Stream Heating & Cooling in Clarksville, Tennessee.  She was a member of the Church of Christ, Bethel Congregation in Hamden, Ohio.

Surviving are her daughters: Wenda (Jack) Hunt, Vinton, Ohio; Paula (Greg) Thacker, Apollo Beach, Florida; Roxanne (Michael) Bush, Jamestown, Ohio  and a son, Timothy (Beverly) Morris, Urbana, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Michelle (Steve) Prebich, Melissa (Mathew) Carter, Stacy Wellington Schartiger, Michael Bush Jr., Andrew Hunt, Christopher (Amanda) Bush and Angela (Mike) Starcher; fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, preceding her in death were grandson, Gregory Nathaniel "Nathan" Thacker; two brothers, Lawrence "Larry" Berry and Howard Pearl "Red" Berry and daughter-in-law, Debby Morris.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Evangelist Pat Gampp officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 5:00–8:00 PM.
