Eva Louise (Knight) Kennedy

Eva Louise (Knight) Kennedy died peacefully Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Heartland Nursing Care in Bellefontaine, Ohio at the age of 87. Eva was born January 1, 1931 in West Virginia to the late Victor and Verla Knight. She graduated from Vinton High School in 1949 and she married Lawrence Kennedy in 1949. She lived in South Point, Ohio for most of her life, an accomplished daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and babysitter for all the people she loved. She was passionate about helping many families with babysitting for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of South Point, Ohio.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Mike (Margaret) Kennedy, Larry (Theresa) Kennedy, Gary Kennedy (Angie Cho) and Beth (David) Pinedo; grandchildren: Noah (Jennifer) Kennedy, Brooke (Darin) Cochran, Erinne Kennedy, Danielle Kennedy, Austin Pinedo, Tyler Pinedo, Arah and Will Chang, Brandon and Jjonghee Cho; great-grandchildren:  Owen and Isaac Kennedy and Sam, Ian, and Miles Cochran; brother, Tom (Garnett) Knight; sisters: Charlotte Newton, Phyllis (David) Fillinger and Sue (Tom) Ragan and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence and an infant son, Robert; brothers: Joe Knight, Harold Knight and Charles Knight; sisters, Jean Boswell and Marilou Moore.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2018 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Reverend Heath Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the funeral home 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
