H. Irene Perry, 91, Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. Born March 22, 1931 in Jackson County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Evelyn (Denney) Farley.
Irene was a member of Rodney Pike Church of God and retired from Hills Department Store in Gallipolis where she worked in the shoe department. She was an avid writer, enjoying the many letters she sent and received as a pen pal. She married Herman Perry May 10, 1958 and he precedes her death.
Those surviving are her children: Karen Wyant, Jackson, Ohio; Terry (Linda) Farley, Vinton, Ohio; Robbie (Barbara) Farley, Bidwell, Ohio; Edwin (Sherry) Perry, Oak Hill, Ohio; Doris Barry, Gallipolis, Ohio; Eva (Roger) Spears, Gallipolis, Ohio; Connie Perry, Oak Hill, Ohio; Glenna (Eugene) Johnson, Crown City, Ohio and Kenneth (Nikki) Perry, Gallipolis, Ohio. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Emogene Cahoon, Wellston, Ohio and Verna Perry, Thurman, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by sons Jackie Farley and James Farley; grandson, Terry “Bud” Farley II; sister, Fredlene Wagoner, brother, Jimmy Farley and son-in-law, Robert Barry.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, June 18, 2022 in the Brush Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating.
