Malcolm Ward, 95, Bidwell, Ohio passed away Tuesday May 9, 2023 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born February 24, 1928 at Bidwell, Ohio, son of the late Carl and Mildred (Jones) Ward. He retired from Mountaineer Power Plant where he performed maintenance for many years. He married Roma G. Reynolds Ward October 8, 1962 and she proceeded him in death August 17, 2020. Malcolm was a member and Deacon of White Oak Baptist Church, Gallipolis, Ohio.
To this union were born their sons: Jeffery M. (Lisa) Ward and Carl E. Ward, both of Bidwell, Ohio; grandchildren: Jeffery Scot (Britney) Ward, Addison, Ohio; Jenna Brooke Ward and Tyler Raymond Ward, both of Bidwell, Ohio and great-grandchildren, Harper Brooke Ward, Avery Sloane Ward and Judson Malcolm Edward Ward, all of Addison, Ohio. Also left behind to cherish Malcolm’s memory are his sisters, Dale Ward, Portland, Oregon and Carol (Bill) Coiley, Rockport, Maine as well as a brother, Fred Ward, Bidwell and a host of dear friends and “extended” family and church family.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded by sister, Jean Cotterill and brother, Wendall Ward.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 12, 2023 at White Oak Baptist Church, 1555 Nibert Road, Gallipolis, Ohio with Reverend Roy “Mike” Thompson officiating. Graveside Military Rites be conducted by Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the church Thursday 5:00-7:00 PM. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, is honored to serve the Ward Family.
