Raina Mae (Ooten) Fulks

Raina Mae Ooten Fulks, 36, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 3, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia from a brain aneurysm. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio November 10, 1981, the daughter of Bonnie Smith Ooten. She graduated from Lynchburg High School, Lynchburg, Ohio in the Class of 2000. She attended Rio Grande University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences in 2003. It was there she met the love of her life, Randall Fulks, and they wed April 9, 2006. 

Raina worked at the Meigs Soil and Water Conservation District as the Watershed Coordinator for Leading Creek from 2005 until 2012. She then worked as the Flood Plain Administrator for Gallia County from 2012 to present with the Gallia Soil and Water Conservation District. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Randall; her mother, Bonnie of Hillsboro, Ohio; brother, Adam (Andrea) and niece and nephew, Adalynn and Archer Ooten, all of Kettering, Ohio; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rodney and Peggy Fulks, Vinton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Vanessa Fridel, niece Elliana Fridel and special friends Debbie Beer and James Newsome.

At her request, there will be no services. A Private Ceremony will be held this following Spring for friends and family where her ashes will be spread, as per her final wishes. Cremation services were under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio who is honored to have been chosen to serve the Fulks Family.
