Sammy Maynard, Jr.

Sammy Maynard, Jr., 58, Wellston, Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. He was born September 17, 1963 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Sammy Maynard, Sr. and Glenna Sue Graham Maynard. Sammy married Cheryl Annette Brown June 19, 2010 in Wellston, Ohio and she survives. He was a member of Sons of American Legion Joseph Freeman Post 476, Wilkesville, Ohio.

Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife are his daughter, Marissa Ann (Justin) Skaggs, New Haven, West Virginia; stepdaughters, Jennifer (Scott) Brown, Georgetown, Ohio; April Robinson, Wellston, Ohio and Patricia (A. J.) Jones, Jackson, Ohio; five grandchildren; brother, Eugene Scott Maynard, Chillicothe, Ohio; sisters, Christine Wheeler and Rachel (Doug) Strickland, both of Wellston, Ohio and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Marcum Family Cemetery in Wilkesville, Ohio with Brother A. J. Jones officiating. Visitation will be Monday 12:00- 2:00 PM at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, Vinton, Ohio.
