Virginia Ann Evans Harder, 85, Vinton, Ohio passed away at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio Monday, October 14, 2019. She was born May 31, 1934 at Patriot, Ohio, daughter of the late James Harmon Evans and Kathryn Thompson Evans. Virginia attended the Vinton Baptist Church, Vinton, Ohio. She married Bradley E. Harder October 2, 1952 at Ewington, Ohio and he preceded her in death July 13, 2011.
Virginia is survived by two sons and a daughter: Steve (Becky) Harder, Patriot, Ohio; Jeff Harder, Ewington, Ohio and Lesa Harder, Gallipolis, Ohio. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren: Bridget (John) Manley, Stephen Bradley (Courtney) Harder and Brylee Harder of Patriot, Ohio; Amanda Harder and Scott Harder, Vinton, Ohio; Lindsay Russell, Parkersburg, West Virginia; Heather Caldwell, Manteo, North Carolina and Jonathan Caldwell, Navarre, Florida and nine great-grandchildren: Cole Bradley, Carlee, Budder, Jase, Bristol, Baylen, Emersen, Afton, and Celia.
She is also survived by two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Cletus (Nan) Harder, Gallipolis, Ohio; Phyllis Mulholand, Wilkesville, Ohio and Terry (Teresa) Harder, Lilly Chapel, Ohio.
In addition to husband she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Ted and Helen Harder and Jimmy Mulholand.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, October 18, 2019 at Tyn Rhos Cemetery near Rio Grande, Ohio with Rev. Alfred Holley officiating under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Ohio. The Harder family would like to thank Dr. Ronald Brownfield, Holzer Hospice and the staff of Holzer 4 West for their excellent care of their mother during this difficult time.
