Willard Clay "Hot Rod" Newsome

Willard Clay Newsome, “Hot Rod”, 49, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away at his home Thursday, October 3, 2019. A gifted artist, Willy enjoyed building model cars and fishing from a boat. Born August 26, 1970 at Covington, Kentucky, he was the son of Willard (Mary Jane) Newsome, Gallipolis, Ohio and the late Gloria Marie Polston Newsome.

In addition to his father and second mother, he is survived by his children: Cody Newsome, Cincinnati, Ohio and Kacie Marie Newsome, Gallipolis, Ohio; granddaughter, Rosabella Marie, making an appearance soon; sisters: Melissa Stephanie Kruskamp, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and Jeanette Nicole Newsome, Gallipolis, Ohio; nieces, Jayetta Destinee Newsome and Amaya Nicole Miller, both of Gallipolis, Ohio as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 8, 2019 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Brother Henry Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Tuesday 11:00 AM to the service hour of 1:00 PM.
