Carroll C. Casto, 90, Bidwell, Ohio fell asleep Thursday, June 2, 2016 and instantly awoke in Heaven, in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Where Carroll was does not matter, where he is matters still. The son of the late Clyde and Icie Mae (Painter) Casto, he was born June 26, 1925 in Given, West Virginia. He was a member of Poplar Ridge Freewill Baptist Church, a retired construction worker, farmer, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. However, he lives on through his family.

Carroll is survived by his children: Clyde Leslie (Brenda) Casto and Gary Curtis (Cindy) Casto, both of Gallipolis, Ohio and Ruth Ann (Danny) Hively, Vinton, Ohio; grandchildren: Curtis Casto, Christy Casto, Gary Casto II, Amy Casto, Joshua Casto, Matthew Casto, Kyle Hively and Kelly Hively; great-grandchildren: Charles Nicholas “Nick” Watson, Cassidy Lei Barnette, Katelynn Devon Casto and Jaylynn Desirae Lavina Bass and great-great-granddaughter, Rylynn Devon Campbell. He also leaves behind brothers: Thomas (Sue) Casto, Virginia; Clyde Eugene (Teresa) Casto and Bill (Reba) Casto, both of Red House, West Virginia and sisters: Betty (Dalton) Brown, West Virginia; Patsy Smith, Liberty, West Virginia and Brenda (James) King, Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Frances (Hedrick) Casto February 18, 1999 and their son, Charles Casto; two brothers, Rockford and James Casto and a sister, Williadean Boggess.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, June 5, 2016 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor Bob Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Sunday one hour prior to service time.

Carroll is not lost to us, because we all know where he is. “Nothing is ever lost if you know where to find it.”-Rev. Smith, Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
