Robert L. "Bob" Burns

Robert L. “Bob” Burns, 65, Rio Grande, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Arbors of Gallipolis. The son of the late Thomas and Emogene (Walters) Burns, he was born December 1, 1950 at Gallipolis, Ohio. Bob retired from Gallipolis Developmental Center in 2000 after 30 years of service. He loved to play cards, being outdoors, horses, and his pet, “Baby”. He was a member of Vinton F&M Lodge #131 and the Kentucky Colonel’s.

Bob is survived by his wife, Karen (Casto) Burns, Rio Grande, Ohio and son, Brian (Keisha) Burns, Centenary, Ohio; grandchildren: Colton, Conner and Alex Burns and Devin Murphy; brother, Tom (Mae) Burns, Columbus, Ohio and sister, Rosetta Burns, Bidwell, Ohio.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Rev. David Garnes and Calvin Minnis, co-officiates. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Bidwell, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday 11:00 AM to the time of service.
