Vinton Location
The Vinton Chapel was established by the late William F. Butler in about 1875, and later operated by his son H.K. Butler until his death in 1937, at which time Vernon and Elsie McCoy became the directors. In 1951, the McCoy’s purchased the J.L. Coleman & Son Funeral Home, Bidwell, Ohio, and moved that operation to their establishment in Vinton. Herb and Jean (McCoy) Moore joined the firm in June 1968. Today, the Moore’s and their son, Jared, carry on the traditional funeral home by offering:
- a large, comfortable chapel
- lounge/conference room
- handicap ramp and accessibility
- spacious off street parking
